1.Do I need to provide my own measurements?2014-08-17T18:54:05-06:00

No, if you would like a professional installer to come and measure your space we can arrange that for a fee of $75.00. When you purchase the full amount of the measure is credited to your order.

2.Does the wood species change the cost of the kitchen?2014-08-12T23:14:02-06:00

Yes, depending on the company you choose to order from each wood species is a different price bracket. Typically Oak, Birch and Hickory are your no upcharge woods. Note: not all door styles are available in every wood species.

3.Is paint more than stained cabinets?2014-08-12T23:13:25-06:00

Yes, paint is always more than a standard stain. Additional finishes and distressing packages are available on both stains and paints that will increase the cost also.

4.Do the cabinet prices include installation?2014-08-12T23:12:59-06:00

No, the price for the cabinets is just the cost of the cabinets themselves, if you need to have installation in addition, we can quote it the price varies depending on how much work will need to be done.

5.What countertops are available and what are the prices?2014-08-12T23:12:11-06:00

This is a difficult question, because you cannot compare apples to oranges. Laminate is available in different colors and edges and priced per LINEAL foot, without installation. Granite and Quarts are priced on material selected in SQUARE feet, edge profile, measure, template, delivery and installation are INCLUDED. Best answer is to price both, to compare. If you can install laminate yourself you will definitely save money.

6.What is the real difference between particle board and plywood construction?2014-08-12T23:11:46-06:00

Pressboard material is lighter weight, easier to damage, will swell and explode from water, but it costs less. Plywood is heavier and meant to withstand more abuse. Now there are companies that offer a combination of both, where the floor, back and shelves are pressboard, but sides that are exposed, drawers and fronts are wood, this is a popular option a lot of people consider, because the areas that get the most abuse are wood but the remainder are pressboard keeping costs down?

7.Is it true that the molding and accessories add a lot of cost to the price of the kitchen?2014-08-12T23:10:46-06:00

Sad but true, the best part of the kitchen can be the accessories that make you kitchen so functional and beautiful, the obstacle most find it hard to overcome is to add or not to add. My thought to this is you are not going to do this remodel again for a very long time or ever, you should improve your space to the best function possible. You will regret spending money on your project and not getting the things you really wanted.

8.I am thinking of refacing instead of purchasing new, what is the difference?2014-08-12T23:10:17-06:00

In refacing you would be replacing the doors and having the box of the cabinet refinished or a veneer over the existing. The door however is the major expense of the door not the actual box of the cabinet, so you are going to spend quite a bit on just new doors then pay to have the box redone, not changing any components or upgrading your existing cabinets. Also note, that many old houses had cabinets made to fit, they did not use the standard sizes we do today, so many of the doors that are in your current home may not have a match to the new size, now you will have to have custom doors made and you will be well over the cost of replacing just your cabinets.

9.How long will I be without my kitchen during a remodel?2014-08-12T23:09:17-06:00

The more extensive the remodel the longer you will be without the kitchen. If walls, flooring, electrical, water, gas or vents are being moved you can count on a much longer time. If you are replacing cabinets exactly where you had existing and putting in laminate, it could be as short as a week. If you have a granite or quartz instead add another 2-3 weeks, as they have to measure the cabinets installed then make the tops and come back to install. If you have all of the above being changed your project could easily go into 6 weeks. Temporary solutions are available discuss them with your installer.

10.What happens if cabinets come damaged?2014-08-12T23:08:45-06:00

Good question, cabinet companies dislike any damage you may receive from delivery as much as you do, but they rush as quickly as possible to get you a replacement as quickly as possible. Some companies can get a part to you within the week and others are about 8-10 days. Hopefully any damage is just cosmetic to a door and you can proceed with the install and just replace that piece when it arrives. If you are unfortunate and receive a broken cabinet, then you will have a delay in the install, but if you are having a stone countertop they can measure with the damaged one in place and the new should arrive before the countertop does.
